Heshima Rescue Centre in Mtwapa dedicated to the protection, support and rehabilitation of vulnerable children and youth. Our aim is to create safe and nurturing environments where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.
Heshima Youth Empowerment C.B.O. is a non-profit organization in Mtwapa dedicated to supporting and empowering young people. Our aim is to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully shape their future and bring about positive change in their community.
Our Objectives
To provide a safe environment for rescued abandoned children.
To provide care and love to the rescued children.
To provide a temporary home for the rescued children within the community.
To give recreational and occupational therapy programs to the rescued children.
Providing avenues for adoption and fostering for the rescued babies.
Strengthening child care networks so as to halt any future abuse.
Provision of a well balanced diet with regular health and immunization checks.
Provision of Pre-school and formal education allowing them to grow and develop their social skills. Learn to respect other people and have high moral standards that should flourish as they grow older. Extra health education shall be provided highlighting the dangers of HIV/Aids, drugs and alcohol abuse.
To promote children’s rights and protection as provided in the children’s Act 2001.
